Sophie is a graduate of the prestigious Oxford Brookes University in England where she majored in Communication, Media and Culture. An avid lifelong learner, she has gone on to complete extensive teaching qualifications including Education in Early Years through the British Council and Teaching English to Foreign Learners (TEFL). She has completed a course in Safeguarding Children from the NSPCC – National Prevention of Cruelty to Children in UK, an important qualification for any kindergarten teacher.

　　Sophie specializes in English as a second language for children and has been teaching for 4 years in England prior to her arrival in China. Her areas of expertise are in strengthening everyday conversation skills, phonics, reading comprehension and beginner Math.

　　Since leaving England, Sophie has been teaching in China for 3 years and understands what it takes to gives early years a proper foundation for future academic and emotional development.

　　Qualified as an IB category 1 specialist, she is excited to be with ELGenesis and will be looking after our students in Pre-school (ages 3-4).
